What we do

Kikao Law is a young and youthful law firm set up in June 2015. It is a boutique law firm which specializes in Intellectual Property law, Entertainment law, Media law, Sports law and Technology law. We also provide general legal services including commercial law, conveyance law and business registrations.

Who we are

Liz Lenjo – Partner

Liz Lenjo is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She has an LL.B (Hons) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and Postgraduate Diploma from Kenya School of Law. Ms. Lenjo has also studied with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Summer School Program on Intellectual Property Management and Technology transfer.

The dancer and former model is is also an ardent writer and blogger on where she discusses both matters of law and practice affecting the creative and entertainment industries. Ms. Lenjo is a pioneer female blogger on legal issues affecting the creative industry. The blog has also received two nominations for Best Topical Blog by the Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) Awards.

Ms. Lenjo has been published and quoted in various publications including the Sunday Nation- Center Stage Column, The Star and UP Magazine. She sits on the Advisory Board of Film Vue, the company that runs the premiere Kenyan Film Magazine- Film Kenya and runs the Campus Film Symposiums.

Ms. Lenjo has acquired a reputation as a successful negotiator and mediator in intellectual property disputes.

Sarah Polish – Partner

Sarah Ochwada is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya specialising in Sports & Entertainment Law. She is the 1st Black African Woman to attain a Masters degree in International Sports Law, and has experience working at an International Sports Federation based in Switzerland (ITTF).

Upon her return to Kenya she was appointed as an Arbitrator at Athletics Kenya as well as the CEO of the Centre for Sports Law (CSL), and more recently was employed as an adjunct lecturer teaching a pioneer class of Sports & Entertainment Law at Strathmore University’s Law School.
